> CONDITION-WAIT respect deadlines, but this includes their implicit
> uses inside SBCL itself.

> Unless OVERRIDE is true, existing deadlines can only be restricted,
> not extended. Deadlines are per thread: children are unaffected by
> their parent's deadlines.
